Robertson is a medium sized Town with a population of about 55 thousand people, we form the major town of the Langeberg municipality.

Robertson is set in the magnificent Breede river valley, most notably is the Breede River meandering southward through Swellendam and on to the river mouth at Witsand.

The River is the lifeblood of the agricultural farms in the region. It also hosts numerous water activities.

The well known Robertson Golf Course at the Silwerstrand Golf Estate has 18 Holes and Pro Shop, is situated 1.5 kms from the hotel.

The Robertson Wine Valley has several world renowned Wine Farms

Robertson has hosted 2 Cape Epics cycle tours

Our town boasts an upmarket P&P, a Super Spar, Clicks a Kaap Agri & Agri Land and 2 Large hardware stores

Primary Schools & High Schools, and a

Government Hospital

Robertson Wine Valley is home to over 50 wineries.  The wineries are willing to host every visitor with a friendly and personal touch.

The valley hosts  4 wine festivals annually.

Wacky Wine Weekend

The Robertson Slow and

Wine on the River

Starting in February with the hands on harvest, visitors are personally exposed to the excitement of the harvest. Grape picking is the first experience with bare-foot grape stomping.

Next is the ever popular Wacky Wine Weekend, where each winery celebrates their new wine with something special. Be it a culinary delight where the winery pairs its favourite wine with a special dish. Concerts and shows around the Valley finish the Saturdays entertainment, Sunday is rounded off with a  Farmers market.

August hosts the Robertson Slow where a quiet formal evening is spent with winery staff blending wine with an array of paired meals

Wine on the River festival, in October is held on the banks of the majestic Breede River.  Most wineries present their wines surrounded by beautiful displays of roses.
