Robertson is centrally positioned in the heart of the Western Cape cultural Regions
A short drive to Paarl , Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Tulbagh, Ceres, Swellendam and Calitzdorp where the old Cape Dutch and French cultures can be clearly recognised, visits to local museums will clearly reveal the influence these cultures have brought to the region.
Within an hour and a half you have easy access to The West Coast, Cape Town and the South Coast.
The famous Route 62 takes you through one of the most scenic routes to Port Elizabeth, via Montague, Barrydale, Ladismith , Calitzdorp and on to Oudtshoorn.
As magnificent are the numerous passes in the region revealing the geology of time gone by, the Valley’s carved by glaciers as well as the folded mountains showing the magnitude of these glaciers. Once again Robertson is centrally located to explore these phenomenon.
A bikers paradise with the numerous mountain passes, makes riding exhilarating.
Naturally the mountains provide the ideal environment for many of the scenic hikes. The most well known being the Boesmanskloof Hiking Trail between Mc Gregor and Greyton.
